Calling on all area homebrewers for our very first annual homebrew competition hosted by yours truly, Atrium Brewing Co. and Brewgrass Homebrew Supply.

The rules are simple, show us what you got! There will be several prizes given away and first place winner will get to brew their beer with the Atrium crew and do an official can release. All participants will get 20% off ingredients when they shop at Brewgrass Homebrew Supply.

The Timing

Entries are due by June 11th and will be kept in cold storage until the judging date at the end of June. Beer will be officially released by the end of July. Keep an eye out for a separate event for the release party and awards ceremony.

The Rules

Brew what you want, the best beer on the table wins. Creativity is encouraged and beer will be judged to intent, not to style guidelines.

The winning beer will be brewed with as few substitutions as possible so keep it scalable. With that, there are some limitations such as a 35° plato limit, no RO water (modified tap is ok), no bacteria, no hop hash or whole leaf hops, no excessively expensive adjuncts (e.g. saffron) or barrel aging (spirals/chips/etc are ok). Fruit additions must be available in puree form commercially and limited to 1.5 lb/gal. If yeast is not commercially available, you must be willing to step up the culture to pitch rate. Everything else goes.

Beer must be shelf stable, fully fermented, and with a turn around time of 30 days max.

Limit 2 entries per person, 2x unmarked bottles/cans per entry with recipe attached to each.

Free for all LAGERS homebrew club members, $20 for all others (includes a complimentary club membership).
